Twice the fun!

For the past week, we've had my sister-in-law Stephanie & her 4 kids staying with us.
They live overseas as missionaries and are stateside for another few months.  And they will be here until next Wednesday. All we've had going on has been X's TWO!!!!!
Twice as many girls, twice as many boys, twice the food consumed, twice the laundry & twice the noise! (at least!!!!)

Here we are after an educational field trip (homeschool day) to Sea World on Thursday.
Some of the kids look hot & worn out. Not to mention us moms look pretty beat too!

And here are the boys posing in their football gear,
given to them by Granny Prescott.

I've barely had a moment to sit down, much less share a post or even pictures of the past few weeks.  (In fact, I wouldn't be doing this now, but the presidential debate is quite depressing to me!!!!)  And it's not slowing down quite yet, as we have more family flying in tomorrow.
Stephanie's husband John will arrive and so will Seth's parents.

I'll be back on here eventually. Not that my posts are all that exciting anyway......
Have a great weekend!!!

Quotable Kids~

Quotable Kids

Yesterday my son was doing his reading and read the word "nerve" and I asked him if he knew what it meant.
He said "Like when I get on my sister's nerves or something? Or like when I drive you up to nuts?."

So, after I explained to him what "nerve" really means, I was reminded that I need to watch what I say.

Today as my 3yo was flushing the toilet, and it wouldn't all flush down, he said "Mommy, it's not working, it must be out of batteries."

Happy Monday~

Being that it's under 80 degrees today, it's a very happy Monday!

And my kids kept escaping (from school!)
outside to their "woods!"

My favorite moment of Sarah Palin's speech.........

........was when Palin's youngest daughter was holding her sweet little baby brother and licked her hand to wet down his hair. It was just SO cute. And she was totally oblivious of the cameras.  Did you see it? SO SO glad they caught that way too precious REAL LIFE moment.
